"It looks just like a table and display in my Nani's house when I was a little girl"

"There is nothing in my home that isn't framed by ArtVentures.  Mark and Claudia are geniuses and every piece is unique."

Karen Mazurek

"We're framing this for our son who collects rock 'n roll posters.  He collects them because he likes the artwork, the bands and they can be valuable."

"Designer, owners are very creative and helpful. Extremely friendly and easy to work with."

Mitchell Sabin
"This piece was part of my grandmother's dowry.  It was kept in a chest when she came here from Greece in 1900.  She used it on her good dining room table over fine linen.  We always felt it was "a work of art".  As you can see it is."

"This was not a job for your average framing gallery.  It had to be done by someone with special skills and someone who cares.  That would be ArtVentures of Brighton."

"My father and mother love Mercedes and own 3 of them.  When I saw this print, I knew it would be  the perfect gift for their birthdays."

"The staff at ArtVentures was so helpful in picking out frames and then actually putting this altogether for me."

Lucy James
"I drew this piece for my cousin Erin for her wedding.  It is a symbol of their love.  I felt the image of the birds cuddled together reflected her and Bryan's love and tenderness, as well as their care for nature."

"I felt the gallery took great care in assisting me and handling my artwork with the utmost respect.  I really appreciated their care and devotion."

Sarah Mushong

"As a wedding gift for my daughter, Whitney, and fiancee, Nick, I painted this picture of Gay Head in Martha's Vineyard."

"Prompt, excellent service! Claudia & Mark have spent so much time helping me choose mats and frames over the years."

Maggie Carah
"This is a picture of Table Mountain & the Grand Teton in northwestern Wyoming.  It is a spectacular 6 mile hike to the top of Table Mountain.  The 360 degree vista from the top is unbelievable."

"Great job on framing!  I let Mark select the mats and frames for me because he has an excellent eye for it."

Thomas G. Rau
"This is the first piece of my work that I've framed.  The frame was essential to isolate the unbeaded fabric so it would look like the water that surrounds Michigan."

"I'm very happy with the way the frame completed my artistic intention."

Christine E Gardner
"A novel written by my son, Marcus Sakey.  This is his fifth book and we always have the cover framed as a gift for completing the book."

"Wonderful experience.  Mark and Claudia understood its' importance to us and did a beautiful job in a timely manner."

"My wife Karen and I lived in Redondo Beach CA during the early 1970's.  We had a rented apartment with rented furniture and only one payment made on our Ford Pinto.  One day as Karen walked by the beach she went by a very small art studio.  In the front window was the most beautiful painting she had ever seen.  She also noticed the $250 price tag.
The next day we went for a walk by the beach and went by that little studio.  I agreed it was the most beautiful painting I had ever seen.  We knew we couldn't afford it but went in.  We met the painter, Frederick Fields, and told him how we loved his painting.  I then had to ask him if he would take $200 for the painting at $50 a month.  He smiled at us and agreed.   I assured him that we would not take the painting until it was paid for.  He again smiled and nodded his head.  Before we left we thanked him about a half-dozen times.  As we stood outside gazing at our painting, Mr. Fields reached in the window and place a small "sold" sign in front of the painting.  We felt so proud, we could have burst.  When we went to pay our second payment, Mr. Fields shocked me by saying, "Let me get that ready for you".  I told him we still owed him $100.  He just smiled and said, "you make your payments but take the painting so you can enjoy it at home".  He started to take the frame off since the price was only for the painting. We begged him to include the frame because it presented the framing so well.  He said it cost him $50 but then with another smile he said OK. In the months that followed we paid off our debt and continued to visit Mr. Fields.  Then one day, he mentioned he couldn't afford the rent and had to move.  We never saw him again but we never forgot him.
Every once in a while, for years, I'd search the internet for anything on Mr. Fields and always came up empty.  Then finally late last month, I found a blog from a lady who mentioned she was Mr. Fields grand-daughter and was looking to buy her grandpa's paintings for her sons as a rememberance of their great-granpa.  I was able to make contact with her.  Her name is Debbie Johnson.  I told her my story and she was so appreciative.
We could never part with the painting but I thought of another option.  I would have a quality print made and framed just like ours, just like it was 40 years ago sitting in Debbie's grandpa's small studio window, and gift it to Debbie.  Well, it really isn't a gift, its more of a pay-back.  I know the cost won't repay what Debbie's grandfather did for us, but the love that goes with the print will.  I will be sending the print today."
Don Lademann

Claudia's notes:  Mr. Lademann sent the framed print to Debbie and following is the email she sent back to him:

"Hello Don,
I was so very excited to see the large box from you on our porch today. I waited until my husband came home so we could open it together. It was wrapped and packaged so well. It arrived in perfect condition. We carefully opened it and was overwhelmed with emotion when we got to see it.
It is beautiful.
Framed perfectly.
It is my grandpa in a painting.
I have been sitting here staring at my computer screen for a while and don't know what to say. Words are not enough to relay what my heart feels. We can't believe the trouble and expense you went through to do this for us. For him.
I am going to print out our emails and attach it in an envelope to the back so it will always be able to tell your story.
My husband and I Thank You.
Our sons Thank You.
Our grandchildren Thank You.
And most importantly we Thank You on behalf of my Grandfather.
God Bless you Don and your family.
With much Love and Gratitude,
Debbie"
The Race
"Purchased in the 1970's from Dumouchelle Galleries "The Race" graced the walls of a penthouse apartment in downtown Detroit.  Appropiately "The Race" looked out through a picture window at the Detroit River and the "Canadian Club" sign on the Canadian side; a window that often reflected the sails of the races from Bayview Yacht Club and passage of many a lake freighter.  The wall it was hung on was part of the original servants quarters for Hiram Walker who built and lived at this building and was the "Walker" of the famous Canadian Distillery.
For many years the painting was condemned to a basement office and now, cleaned, preserved and newly framed, resides on a wall in a hundred year old home looking out at one of the original 1832 homesteads here in Livingston County."

"This piece is special in several ways.  First, it was given to us by French friends after we traveled together in Egypt.  Second it is on papyrus-which we saw made (and can be seen by looking at the back of the frame).  Third, Mark did a phenomenal job of framing it-bringing out all of the colors and creating a striking meeting of frame and picture."

"Fabulous work on every piece you have framed for us over the years."

Dwight W. Stevens
"These boxing gloves were worn by my grandfather during the 1920's when he was a boxer in Detroit.  But most special is that he autographed one of the gloves for my grandmother before they were married."

"The crew at ArtVentures knew my uncle who worked for the city of Brighton police department.  They took special interest because of their relationship with my uncle!"

Maggie Novak
"Purchased on first vacation to Rome from local artist in Piazza Navonee."

"Previously had prints from Paris done here & they were perfect.  Mark has a fantastic eye for picking the right frames and liners.  Fast too!"
